  It’s been six months since the opening of Dahl House Jams and Specialties. The shop is humming and Maggie is turning a profit, securing her place as a stable merchant among the shops of Lambertville.

  Sister Gerri has planted herself firmly in Maggie’s world and in her house, showing no signs of finding her own place while she pursues a relationship with Tom Brightmore.

  The factory has expanded, adding three new employees even as they’ve said goodbye to Peter Stapley, who has finally left the town where his pain had festered and deepened for ten years. What lies ahead for Peter and his family we may never know.

  Meanwhile, local author Shanna Delaney has made the most of her limited fame, selling her book of essays about life in Lambertville and the Delaware River Valley in every local shop that will have it. She’s had two readings at Booketeria, the town’s bookstore, and made trips to Philadelphia and New York City for book signings.

  Maggie often sees her at the coffee shop with her laptop, writing a follow up collection. It seems Shanna has decided go from writing about life in the town, to writing about its people. Then, one beautiful day in May, Shanna isn’t there. Nor is she there the next day, or the next. It seems Shanna Delany has gone missing, while leaving behind everything she owned.

  Maggie knows that no one ever really vanishes into thin air. With Gerri even more firmly by her side, she decides to find out what happened to Shanna Delaney. Into that thin air they walk, surrounded by mist and mystery as they seek to uncover what stories Shanna had been telling with her laptop and her morning coffee, and who did not want them told.
